AT&T reports interruptions related to the Nashville explosion

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – AT&T officials are reporting stops in parts of Kentucky and Tennessee related to an explosion in downtown Nashville on Christmas morning.

AT&T is responding to people who post on Twitter who are aware of the problems and attribute them to the explosion.

Karen, we are in touch with law enforcement and are working as quickly as possible to restore service to some customers in Nashville and surrounding areas. This is due to the damage caused by the explosion this morning at our facilities. We appreciate your patience.

Several 911 emergency departments also report emergency service outages. Officials are asking people to use the non-emergency telephone line if they are having difficulty reaching an operator.
