Auburn’s conquest of the state of Mississippi was not pretty. But it was a win, and Auburn coach Gus Malhan danced in the locker room after the game. The Tigers were outscored by a 14-point victory after a slow start to the game – or a slow three-quarter. It almost doubled its offensive production from the first three quarters in the fourth quarter alone. Auburn was able to push through that fourth quarter because its defense was consistent, leaving only three points in three quarters. Tank ran behind Pixby, thinking it was the best defensive performance of the year. Special teams of the LTTE are also helping Auburn to win the field battle. In the end, the Tigers rose to 6-4 and they danced successfully to get out of the regular season. Here’s a look at how the Tigers did it: Quarterbacks: CS Home, despite all the runs and pitches he made, Bo Knicks never got a job. He again avoided several defenders (including one player twice) to go into the final zone for Auburn’s only quick touch. He ran hard, but he couldn’t balance it with a strong passing game. Sometimes he quickly left the pocket because he was digging in part of it. He made 15 of 32 passes for 125 yards.Auburn Quarterback Bo Knicks (10), in the second half of the team’s NCAA college football game against Mississippi State, Saturday, December 12, 2020 (AB Photo / Rogelio V. His 192-yard game helped Auburn go faster than any other opponent against Mississippi State. This pushed Pixby past Bo Jackson into second place for Auburn All-Time Freshman Rapid Leaders. Schenker, in particular, clarified the way for a big catch, while Begus helped create a path in a big run. Brandon Frasier and Luke Deal also took part in the receiving game. Frazier’s six-yard catch was not used by the Tigers, but Deal’s seven-yard catch helped move them on the first touchdown drive. Wide Gain: C + Auburn had only 125 passing yards. Some of it was in theatrical call. Some were in the quarterback. But some were on the wide rocks, they dropped some passes or could not open. Eli Stowe and Anthony Swartz were able to pick up yards on several narrow paths, but the Bulldogs quickly adjusted and stopped it. Seth Williams caught just three of 11 goals. However, he finally joined the Knicks in the fourth quarter, which helped trigger the offense. Auburn rushed to attack line 218. It did a great job of clearing the running back space, while allowing only one space to run. However, this was not done in pass defense either. It didn’t drop any sacks, but the Knicks had a lot of digs and he had to throw a lot of balls. Also, a holding call initially canceled a big gain, which did not help Auburn’s pace. The Tigers finished with a season-high six sacks and two quarterbacks. They allowed three runs of 10 yards or more, but with all the excuses, kept Mississippi State at 19 quick yards. This pressure contributed to some of the quarterback’s poor results. Owen Pappo (0) gets a job during the game between Auburn and Mississippi State at Davis Wade Stadium. Jacobi McLean had the next biggest problem. They were both instrumental in Auburn’s ability to prevent Mississippi State crime. They played again, but were able to run fast and stop any of the quick passes. They supported that line whenever the Bulldogs actually ran the ball. Jamien Sherwood had three blocks and Latarius Tennyson had six. Tennyson fills in the star position, which is usually added under the cornerback, but his background is a safe. He wandered around the field and flew up to make some big stops. The guards dropped back into coverage and then returned to prevent getting a short pass after the catch. Anders Carlson again saved Auburn by making three field goals when the attacking drivers stalled. Bulder Oscar Chapman did an excellent job of raising the bundles to give the coverage teams time to get on the field, and he knitted the Bulldogs twice in the 20s. The stove turned a kick 47 yards. Coaching: Cabern came up with an excellent defensive plan to thwart the Mississippi State airstrikes, and it pulled it off in a fantastic fashion, keeping the Bulldogs below their season average. However, the attacking game was a bit confusing. Although Auburn clearly did not work, he tried to throw the ball. When it finally promised to run game in the fourth quarter, it all clicked.
