Avianca resumes three routes with El Salvador from Sunday 28

The two destinations that will reconnect from the 28 are: Houston – San Salvador and the route San Salvador – Toronto, while the route Mexico – San Salvador will operate again from next April 7, the airline has indicated in a statement.

These three connections were suspended earlier this month and were scheduled to be reactivated in April.

“In the coming days we are resuming connectivity to several of the destinations that are very important for passengers in our region. We will reconnect Guatemala directly with Los Angeles, San Jose and Bogota; and, San Salvador with Houston, Toronto and Mexico, “said David Alemany, Avianca’s general manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

On this occasion the airline reported that routes would be resumed in line with the evolution of the pandemic, in some cases during the first quarter of the year and in other cases during the second half.

Other routes that re-operate

In addition, Avianca detailed that they will return to operate other routes that were suspended like the one of Bogota – Guatemala City, that resumes its flights also from this 28 of March, as well as the route Bogota – Orlando and that of Bogota-Curaçao. While the route Barranquilla – Miami reconnects from March 29.

There are also two more routes that resume their flights from April 2: Guatemala City – Los Angeles and Guatemala City – San Jose; meanwhile the route Guatemala City – San Jose resumes connections on April 7.

Avianca reported in early March that the airline will operate the San Salvador-Ontario (Southern California) route from July, with 3 weekly frequencies on Airbus A319 aircraft, so it will have 2,880 seats available monthly.

With this route, the airline expands the offer of connectivity between Central America and the West Coast of the United States, as it currently has flights to cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco.
