Azealia Banks calls Kanye West’s Donda album “Wild Garbage”

Azealia Banks is not afraid to criticize other rappers.

Sunday (August 29), just hours after Kanye West released his Donda , Banks jumped on his Instagram story to offer him his thoughts on the LP.

In a deleted message since then, the Harlem rapper wrote, “This Donda shit is wild rubbish … Music for hedgefund bros.”

Banks later turned to a Twitter commenter who felt that Banks made that harsh criticism of ‘Ye’s 10th album because he couldn’t “accompany him” and “needed help.”

“I said that because that Gospel rooster party was a legitimate depressing garbage,” Banks wrote in his IG Story.

Banks joins several people who felt that of West Donda the album didn’t live up to the hype.

Monday (August 30), Power 105 The Breakfast Club cohosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy were extremely critical of the project. Charlamagne considered the album to be dull and looked old-fashioned.

“On the first listen, for me it was dim in the first listen,” he said. “He has an hour and 49 minutes. So, like Kanye West, it can be exhausting.”

Charlamagne added that if West cut 12 songs from the LP it would be a “fantastic album”.

“But 28 songs with two parts, an hour and 48 minutes, are too long and drag me down. And the music sounds a little old-fashioned,” he said.

Meanwhile, DJ Envy was not so kind to his feelings about Yeezy or the album.

“That’s why I didn’t listen to the album and I don’t necessarily want to listen to it,” he stated. “I just don’t like the way he treats people and I think he’s a clown. Clown, like a circus clown with the stupid jacket and big shoes. Clown.”

Since then, DJ Envy has spoken to Kanye’s team, but maintains his opinion on Kanye.

It looks like Kanye West Donda the album will be one of the most polarizing rap albums of 2021.
