“This is false,” Puerto Rican Grand Combo music director Willie Sotelo reacted this morning to reports that Bad Bunny would be the producer of the orchestra’s new album.
The relationship of “Bad Rabbit” with the album “In quarantine”, the first single would be released on Friday, March 5, responds to the fact that it will be released under the label Rimes Entertainment, the same that publishes the productions of the music artist urban.
“We made a record, it’s called ‘In Quarantine’ and that record was finished. We were looking for a label to take it out and the Rimes label, which is the label that has Bad Bunny, Tommy Torres …, they wanted opening a Latin division, and we had our record finished, we had a meeting and they liked it, ”Sotelo detailed this morning in a telephone interview.
Rimes Entertainment co-founders and executive director Noah Assad, manager of the famous draper, among other artists.
As part of this new agreement, the musician warned that no merger or collaboration with Bad Bunny has been contemplated.
“We are very happy with this record, because we have achieved an album that resembles‘ Here no one feels (1979) ’,” Sotelo advanced. “All the themes are catchy, and well styled Great Combo, we’re here in what has always been The Great Combo.”
The album was recorded with COVID-19 prevention measures in Sotelo’s studio, and the cover will show members wearing their respective masks.
“I recorded it remotely and everything was done by law. We had started recording it in 2019 and when the pandemic came, we didn’t have any more na to do, we dedicate time to the record, “said the pianist.” I think it will be a good job and people will accept it very well. “
The first single, although not yet final, could be “The Combo of the World”, which would start playing on March 5, and two weeks later, the full album would be released in digital and physical format, including ceded and vinyl.
It will feature musical arrangements by Sotelo himself, as well as Isidro Infante. The compositions included Pedro Jesús, Luis’ Taty: Maldonado, trombone player of the Combo, Peter Velázquez and Prodigi Claudi, among others. The executive production corresponds to master Rafael Ithier.
