Barcelona vs Sevilla | King’s Cup Pedri’s return was also discussed
Barcelona cap Ronald Koeman has made it clear that the arrest of the former club president Josep Maria Bartomeu not good for azulgranas.
Bartomeu and three more: CEO Oscar Grau and lawyer Bridges of Roman Gomez, as well as former director Jaume Masferrer – were arrested Monday as part of theBarcagate‘scandal, from which the Dutch coach distanced himself.
“It’s not a good look for the club,” Koeman he said during Tuesday’s pre-match press conference.
“We have to wait and see what happens. I wasn’t here [at the time], I don’t know what happened. We can’t do anything, we have to focus on football. “
Koeman spoke before the second stage of Barcelonaeliminatory of semifinals of the Glass of the King against Seville, that follows by 2-0.
“We know we have a bad result to come back, but I think it’s possible,” he said.
Interestingly, Barcelona beat Sevilla 2-0 in LaLiga Santander last weekend at the Ramon Sánchez-Pizjuan Stadium, a match in which Pedri he had to leave and was even seen with crutches when the team returned to Barcelona. Still, he could return in time for Wednesday’s game.
“There are things that can’t be explained,” Koeman pointed out.
“Yesterday afternoon I was surprised. He did individual workouts and today he has had no problems.
“We’ll see him in training tomorrow. I think he can be on the list.”
