Barea surprises his little girl before leaving for Spain

Before packing again to continue pursuing his professional goals, the basketball player José Juan Barea dedicated a special time to his daughter to seal her paternal relationship.

Barea, elegantly dressed, surprised Paulina with a gift ring that symbolized the eternal father-daughter relationship. Paulina, dressed as a princess, vowed to be the ‘Father’s Girl’, as well as a girl obedient to her mother Bibiana, fraternal with her brother Jose Juan and committed to her education.

The moment was captured on camera and shared by Barea on instagram.

Barea spent a second long period without sharing directly with his family because he made a basketball commitment in Spain. He will play from this Saturday in Madrid with the Estudiantes team, which belongs to the renowned ACB league.

It will be his second absence from the house in a few months, counting on the period he spent last year in the NBA ‘bubble’ that lasted through the summer season.

The Puerto Rican partridge signed in Spain because he has goals to return to play in the NBA, after the Dallas Mavericks released him prior to the start of the current season. After running out of contract, Barea returned to the island but kept training while waiting for an offer from another NBA team, but so far has not received any offers.

In addition to helping the Estudiantes team, Barea wants to stay fit playing in Spain to be in playing condition in case they eventually make him an NBA offer in the middle of the campaign. In fact, the contract he signed in Spain with the Estudiantes club, contains a clause that gives him free rein in the event of an offer in the NBA.

Barea has said he expects his family to visit him in Madrid eventually during the current season which runs until May.
