It’s not breaking news that the Chicago Bears are looking to buy quarterback Nick Foles, especially with the final round of cuts on the roster. But Albert Breer’s new report suggesting that Foles has something to say in a possible commercial destination sure caught everyone’s attention.
“Bears will listen to Nick Foles, but I’ve also had the feeling that they’re not going to send him to a place he doesn’t want to go,” Breer wrote.
Bears fans can’t understand how Foles might have something to say in a potential new destination given that it doesn’t have a potential commercial clause, and it’s another problem against Bears ’management.
While the Bears are worried they won’t hurt by negotiating Foles with a team they don’t want to go to and promise to start Andy Dalton, it’s hard to believe why they haven’t shown the same consideration to their No. 1 receiver Allen Robinson in a contract extension.
With the news that the Bears will only change Foles to a destination he approves of, Twitter had a lot of reaction, and it’s clear that fans believe Chicago owes him nothing more than guaranteed money.
My favorite football team is being held hostage by a third-string quarterback.

The fact that Nick Foles receives an unofficial trade will cause a talented player to be cut.
The signing of Andy Dalton already caused Kyle Fuller to be cut.
He #Bears has Justin Fields but doesn’t start.
On many levels, Pace and Nagy have no damn idea what they are doing.– Da Justin Fields TailGate Show ™ ️ (@DaTailGateShow) August 30, 2021
But they didn’t really do it, they just let him act like he had one. Even worse.

Right now we treat Nick Foles and Andy Dalton with more respect than Allen Robinson.
I was and am fine negotiating with Robinson the conditions of the team with the levers they have. PERUT
Then pay extra for Foles and Dalton and treat them to children’s gloves. No.

How the hell did Nick Foles and Andy dalton get that leverage? One QB says you can only switch me to where I want to go and the other is at most average and says you will start me no matter what ….. bra wtf is happening with this team 🤣 https: // t. co / hWsKjphu3J

Nick Foles has always been available on the commercial blog.
An agreement was allegedly reached with Philly months ago. Until Nick Foles called and said, “No, thank you.”
So basically #Bears they have been trying to move a QB that acts as if it does not have a non-commercial clause. https://t.co/2NtC2k3iY9

This is silly. Chicago gave him too much money guaranteed and gave him a chance to earn more with playing time. His salary suppresses hurt feelings about where they change him. https://t.co/rLJQkFxjXL

This BS loyalty that the Bears continue to do must stop. Idgaf what team he wants to go to or what promises they made to Andy Dalton
If you don’t prove it in the field, you won’t get this treatment. Change the negotiations to whoever brings it and start Justin Fields https://t.co/SsVA71DMyP

That bothers me. Why the hell do you get any input? It has earned the right to be the THIRD QB chain. If you want to pick it up, cut it up and eat the cap. Otherwise, exchange it for the best offer to help the team.

So basically … Fields won’t play even if he has a better chance of winning games because they promised Dalton he would start and they wouldn’t change Foles to a team he doesn’t want to go to even if they don’t need the list … Pace and Nagy are real gentlemen … pic.twitter.com/26duUPyT7T

I don’t really understand that line of thinking. As an organization, you need to get as much value as possible for the operations you perform. Doing this really handcuffs Ryan Pace.
