Seven months after the pandemic ended the Atlanta Hawks season, it was time for a Southern California reunion to reunite them.
Coach Lloyd Pierce and all the Hawks returnees would get together to join the team, with all sorts of activities planned that he hoped would help his chemistry in a season that everyone knew would be full of pressure. There was a pick-up basketball against other NBA players, a boxing class where they squared each other, and group dinners where topics included, among other things, the upcoming election.
But the real headliner event took place when Pierce and Trae Young met in private to talk together about their next third year.
