Bethesda causes Elder Scrolls 6 configuration

Wake up and plug in the corks of tradition, Elder Scrolls fans. The Elder Scrolls VI may be a long way off yet, but that has never stopped anyone from trying to divulge details about where and when it could be set. The game starts again thanks to a map that Bethesda has posted with a message that looks like it could certainly be a clue that ES6 will be heading to Hammerfell. May be.

Here is the full map below that Bethesda published with the message “Transcribe the past and trace the future. Here we have a happy new year! ”It could be just a simple New Year’s wish next to a Skyrim map or maybe it’s a cryptic suggestion about the Next Game Elder Scrolls.

People online speculate that placing candles in the picture is a clue about the future of the series. “Transcribe the Past” could refer to the candle next to Solitude, a major site in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. According to this logic, surely the candle, obviously placed just below the empty space and unfilled, with the label “Hammerfell”, is what we will draw in the future, right?

Hammerfell, in Tamriel’s world, is home to the Redguards. It is a mainly arid place with the great desert of Alik’r. It certainly seems solid that the original teaser below and this new map sing the same tune.

What about the third candle, then? He’s sitting next to a set of coins that were included in the collector’s physical edition of The Elder Scrolls Online’s Greymoor expansion last year. Maybe it’s a thing of the past, present and future? Heck, maybe it’s all an ESO-related teaser. Or, in fact, it may just be a fun little post meant to enthuse fans.

Bethesda announced the next Elder Scrolls game in 2018 and has said very, very little since. They’re years back, behind the Starfield space RPG on their production schedule, and far enough away that they’ve said we should probably ask for details in a few years. It would surely be cheeky if this turned out to be some kind of TES6 suggestion.

If you missed the news in September, Microsoft bought Bethesda.
