The messages described by the energy company speak of the state issuing an “electric charge warning.” Among other things, the message talks about network failure and the inability to “support critical infrastructure,” such as hospitals.

Currently, more than 280,000 San Antonio residents are without electricity due to the frigid temperatures that have affected their ability to generate energy.
All energy sources, including wind, solar, coal, natural gas and nuclear, were affected in some way by temperatures, Gold-Williams said.
Approximately two-thirds of CPS Energy networks continue to have rotating interruptions. The other third of the network continues to be powered because these circuits feed critical services, such as a hospital, a base, or a police department.
However, the “intensity of freezing temperatures has done some harm” to the company’s ability to supply electricity, Gold-Williams said. “Although we see some improvement. We are not out of the woods. “
