Beyond Meat (BYND) – Beyond Meat announced the opening of a new manufacturing plant in China, the first outside the United States. The plant food company said the new factory would significantly increase its capacity to supply products to the region. Beyond Meat rose 2.8% in premarketing stock.
Nokia (NOK): Nokia settled a long-standing patent dispute with computer maker Lenovo, and reached a new cross-licensing agreement. The case consisted of Lenovo’s use of various video compression technologies. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Finland-based telecommunications equipment maker said it will receive a payment from Lenovo. Nokia rose 1.3% in premarket trade.
Li Auto (LI): Li Auto announced a new $ 750 million debt offer, which the China-based electric vehicle maker said will be used to fund research and development. Shares fell 3.7% in premarketing stock.
Niu Technologies (NIU) – Niu unveiled its first electric scooter, with a China-based company planning to make the two-wheeled transport device available in North America, China and Europe this summer.
SunRun (RUN) – The solar equipment company’s shares added 2.3% to the pre-market after RBC began coverage with a rating of “overrun”, highlighting SunRun’s position as a leader in the solar market the rapidly growing roof.
Pfizer (PFE) – Pfizer’s rheumatoid arthritis drug, Xeljanz, is under control by Canadian health officials after a study showed an increased risk of heart problems and cancer among patients. Xeljanz’s global sales in 2020 amounted to $ 2.444 billion.
Genworth Financial (GNW) – Genworth terminated its deal to be acquired by China-based China Oceanwide Holdings, a $ 2.7 billion transaction first announced in 2016. The insurance company said its board determined that the agreement could not be completed within a reasonable time, following delays due to regulatory hurdles and the pandemic. Genworth fell 1.7% in premarket trading.
Qiagen (QGEN) – The genetic testing company unveiled a new technology that shortens response time for researchers who identify new variants of the virus that causes Covid-19. Shares gained 1.5% in the premarket.
CyberArk Software (CYBR): Cybersecurity software company gained 1.1% in pre-market after Baird upgraded shares to “outperform” them from “neutral,” based on what it considers a demand solid so-called PAM (privileged access management) technology.
ViacomCBS (VIAC) – The shares of the media company were updated to “surpass” those of “peer perform” in Wolfe Research, which said the shares are now at an attractive valuation point after the recent volatility that saw it almost double and return gains. ViacomCBS rose 1.9% in the premarket.
Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A) – Royal Dutch Shell expects to receive a $ 200 million hit in first-quarter earnings from extreme winter weather in Texas earlier this year. The energy producer is expected to report its first quarter results on April 29th.
