U.S. President Joe Biden stumbled several times this Friday as he climbed the stairs of Air Force One.
The mishap he suffered occurred when he boarded the presidential plane.
In the chambers it can be seen that Biden stumbles first one of the steps and when he got to his feet he slipped and fell again.
Biden, 78, was boarding Air Force One to travel to Atlanta – a city ravaged by shootings against three massage parlors this week – to denounce a rise in violence against the Asian community across the country.
The visit to this large city in the southern United States was planned as a tour focused on the pandemic and the massive stimulus plan approved by Congress, but the massacre that shocked the United States altered the agenda.
Biden will travel accompanied by Vice President Kamala Harris, who will meet in the afternoon with representatives of the Asian community and people from the Pacific Islands and deliver a speech at Emory University.
“They are going to meet with state lawmakers and community representatives to hear about the impact of the incident on the community and hear their perspective,” press secretary Jen Paski explained.
Biden will take the opportunity to reiterate his commitment to fighting “xenophobia, intolerance and hatred.”
