Enough hot air can be drawn into the state for some mixing along the southeast coast, keeping totals lower in this area of the state. Higher snow levels appear in the northeastern and southwestern parts of the state.
Timing Out The Storm
A strong low-pressure area will spread the snow to the state before the shifts Monday morning. The snow will become stronger and more intense in the afternoon.
NBC Connecticut meteorologists believe the trips will be treacherous for night trips.
Wind is also a concern during the storm
Along with heavy snow on Monday afternoon, winds will start to be 30 to 50 mph gusts. Bleaching conditions cannot be ruled out for a while on Monday afternoon.
