Bilateral cooperation focused on dialogue between Queen Letizia and the President of Honduras

As part of her visit to Honduras, Her Majesty Queen Letizia and the President Juan Orlando Hernández they held a broad today dialogue which included topics on bilateral cooperation, investment, human development and the promotion of the sustainable national reconstruction plan, among others.

The Queen of Spain arrived in Honduras on an official visit to learn about the devastation left on national territory by tropical storms Eta and Iota.

Earlier today he delivered the donation of the Spanish cooperation of 120 tons in humanitarian aid for those affected, in addition to rapid tests for the diagnosis of COVID-19.

The Spanish government has also said present through the Team Europe initiative, which will allocate 2.85 million euros through non-reimbursable financial cooperation. This amount will add up to about 31.2 million euros of reimbursable financial cooperation, reoriented in conjunction with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for this purpose.

During talks with Her Majesty Queen Letizia, the president also emphasized the vital importance of Spanish support and the entire international community for the promotion of the sustainable plan for national reconstruction.

The coffee sector, one of the most supported
