Billie Eilish takes her style evolution to new heights on the Met Gala stairs.
Pop star and 2021 Met Gala co-host came out on the red carpet on Monday in a voluminous nude tulle dress with a spectacular train that required several people to help her get in.
She paired her Oscar de la Renta style, worthy of a princess, with makeup inspired by old Hollywood and more than 30 pieces of Cartier jewelry, most of which she has never worn in a single session.
“Doesn’t she speak for herself?” She told E! when asked about her dress, she added that the look is “the first I’ve ever done in this area.”
According to E !, Eilish demanded that Oscar de la Renta stop selling leather before agreeing to wear the brand.
She literally kept the dramatic dress on before touching the red carpet, with several people carrying a sheet to protect her while walking.
At 19, Eilish makes history as the youngest co-chair in gala history. He shares the reception tasks with Timothée Chalamet, tennis star Naomi Osaka and poet Amanda Gorman.
“Eilish’s desire to adopt an aesthetic as innovative as his music has pushed emerging brands to stand out and challenged the old rules about how a pop star should dress,” Vogue told May.
While Eilish turned his firm into loose-fitting clothing in recent months, he has adopted a wide range of more glamorous looks in recent months, ranging from colorful corsets to a range of styles inspired by the boudoir for British Vogue.
He also switched his signature neon green mullet to a platinum blonde dish in March, ahead of his release of the album “Happier Than Ever” this July.
While it’s the trendy teenager’s first Met Gala appearance, it’s no stranger to walking the red carpet. The fashion party comes a day after the VMAs, where Eilish wore an all-black ensemble.
In addition to taking two trophies, he generated a joke similar to shadowing Jennifer Lopez when the singer of “Money” took the stage to make a surprise appearance. According to sources who tell us, Lopez will attend this year’s Met Gala, maybe the two will be on the stairs.
