Buffalo Bills won the Pittsburgh Steelers decisively on Sunday night, and a small part of that success is owed to the Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster.
Before the game, Smith recorded a video of Buffalo dancing to Buffalo’s midfield logo and uploading it to his dictation.
The Bills players saw Smith-Schuster dancing under their logo, and they watched the video, which chose them. They used this to further motivate the Steelers to win.
“I am not going to lie. When you see them dancing in our logo free game and seeing it all, it turns you a little bit, ”Jordan Boyer told New York Upstate after the game after the defense. “It’s a little second itch to come out and play with extra fire.”
They definitely had some extra fire. Quarterback Josh Allen mentioned the Smith-Schuster logo dance in his pre-game tunnel speech.
At the end of the Pills’ 26-15 victory, they were the only ones dancing.
Juju has done this before
This is not the first time Smith-Shuster has danced on a team’s midfield logo. He did it when the Steelers played the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9.
He wanted to recreate Terrell Owens ‘famous (or infamous, depending on where you come from) celebration in 2000 in the Cowboys’ Midfield logo. He tried to do it after scoring a touchdown, but was stopped by both the Cowboys players and his own teammates.
“That first celebration, I’m going to do a TO star celebration,” Smith-Schuster told reporters after the game. “[Cowboys DE Randy Gregory] Basically the ball was knocked out of my hand and probably would have dealt with me. James Connor came and pulled me over and said, ‘This is an intimate game.’ You never know what will happen, I do not want to start anything. But if this is a long-distance, explosive game, I would definitely like to do it one day. ”
