The latest release from SIE Studios
Teruyuki Toriyama has announced that he will leave Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan later this year. Talking on Twitter today before, Toriyama thanked the fans for their support and noted that he intends to continue producing games in the future.
“I will leave SIE WWS JAPAN Studio at the end of December.” announced Toriyama. “Thank you to all the users who have supported JAPAN Studio so far! I will continue to take on the challenge of creating new gaming IP addresses in my new company and ask for your continued support.”
Toriyama’s impressive resume includes the producer’s homework on the sad 2015 adventure Transmitted by blood, and more recently Astro Bot i Demon souls for PlayStation 5. Toriyama is one of several producers fired from SIE Japan, which also recently saw the release of Gravity Rush designer Keiichiro Toyama, The last guardian producer Kazunobu Sato, i Mermaid series planner Junya Okura, who left to found the new company Bokeh Game Studio.
