Bob Enyart, a conservative radio curator and pastor of the Denver Bible Church, has died of COVID. (Last week I posted how I had tested positive).
He was 62 (although I don’t seem to find a good source for his birthday). There is still no word on his wife, who has also tested positive for COVID.
The death was confirmed by Fred Williams, co-host (with Enyart) of the wildly ill-fated “Real Science Radio”.
It comes with an extremely heavy heart that my close friend and co-host of Real Science Radio has lost the battle with Covid. Bob Enyart was one of the smartest and certainly the wisest person I have ever met. All the while being very kind and humble and always willing to listen and discuss anything you want. It was an extraordinary honor to have been by his side for 15 years and over 750 science shows. I was always amazed at how Bob held me all those years together … When we recorded a show and he asked me to do a recovery, I am convinced that many times I would follow it on purpose with one of his own recoveries to make me feel better. The number of lives he touched is immeasurable and I am sure Jesus has a special place for him in heaven. “Well done, good and faithful server.”

The gain of heaven has left a huge hole here on earth. Bob’s enduring legacy will live on with the treasure he leaves behind, including an amazing website that many have recognized as the best online science resource that confirms the record of Genesis, its captivating Bible study MP3s, scientific DVDs, YouTube videos, etc.
I miss my best friend and mentor. We pray especially for Bob’s family.
As I said before, it’s horrible when someone gets the virus and much less dies, but let’s go through a list of the reasons why Enyart’s condition didn’t generate much sympathy from the general public.
This is a guy who used to make fun of AIDS victims on his TV show by reading his obituaries while playing Queen’s “Another Bite the Dust” in the background.
This is a guy who filed a lawsuit against COVID restrictions in Colorado, only for a judge appointed by Trump to grant a temporary restraining order that would allow interior churches to open up to the masses without having to wear masks. How many people caught the virus because of this irresponsible demand?
This is a boy who had “sworn” to take any of the available vaccines because they “tried these three products in the cells of aborted babies.” (This is not accurate.)
He is a boy who urged people to boycott Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson to “pressure the child killers.”
There’s a long list of other horrible beliefs you’ve maintained over the years, but you get the idea. This was someone who had more recently professional choices make more people at risk of dying from COVID, and he has now become a victim of his own deception. Better him than his victims. He had every opportunity to take precautions and get vaccinated, but he idolized a right-wing conspiracy machine and his ignorance finally came to him.
By the way, Enyart’s Facebook page is full of people posting links to “Another Bite the Dust.”
