The lifeless body of a street resident remains in the facilities of the Carlos Carmona Hospital, east of Cali, awaiting his transfer to the Institute of Forensic Medicine to advance in his identification, with the purpose of being able to deliver it to his relatives.
The body was taken to the said care center last Saturday night, September 4, by units of the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Cali, which attended to the case in the first instance.
“The person died of natural causes. The patient underwent all the necessary procedures and the procedures for the search for his relatives and subsequent delivery began,” explained the manager of the Suroriente Health Network. , Carlos Eduardo Arizabaleta.
Since the Carlos Carmona does not have a cold room for the conservation of the body while its identification is obtained, the directives of the same initiated arrangements for its transfer.
“Given that he is a person in a street situation, and finding his relatives is a bit difficult, it was started in parallel with the location of a cold room in another entity, for the subsequent delivery of the body, “Arizabaleta said.
