CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) – The Bojangles restaurant chain, based in North Carolina, says it will close all of its company-owned stores in the next two days, and will represent it as an opportunity to offer its thousands of employees a “deserved break”. ”
But Bojangles employees will not be charged for these days off. In a statement, the chicken and cookie chain encouraged its thousands of employees to use the upcoming closures on Aug. 30 and Sept. 13 to have a chance to “rest and recharge.”
In response to subsequent questions from the Associated Press, a company spokesman said that many workers have been working overtime lately and that the company would offer employees the opportunity to work overtime if they wished.
