Bolivia announces the discovery of a gas “megacamp” in Chuquisaca

The President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, has announced the discovery of a “megacamp” of gas in the department of Chuquisaca, in the south of the country, as part of the explorations of YPFB and the Repsol, Shell and PAE consortium.

Arce detailed that the discovery took place in the Boicobo Sud-X1 well, located in the province of Luis Calvo, in Chuquisaca, with 1 TCF (one trillion cubic feet) that he hopes to start exploding by the end of 2021.

“Everything points to the fact that, by the end of 2021, this well has already entered production and, therefore, will be an important contribution to the entire hydrocarbon policy for our country,” he said. ABI news agency.

The Bolivian president recalled that this project had a budget of $ 102 million, of which $ 74 million has been executed for drilling work that has been carried out on an exploratory basis.
