Kyle Rittenhouse’s bond deal has been amended after prosecutors said he fired white light signals while posing to be photographed at a Southeast Wisconsin bar, WTMJ, the NBC affiliate reported in Milwaukee.
Rittenhouse, an 18-year-old man from the suburbs of Antioquia, is accused of killing two people and injuring a third for concern after police shot Jacob Blake last summer.
Rittenhouse was seen drinking at a bar in the town of Mount Pleasant, about 25 miles south of Milwaukee, after pleading not guilty to murder and other charges arising from the August 25 shooting.
Rittenhouse, which is white, has a $ 2 million free bond. Following the Jan. 5 complaint, Rittenhouse, his mother and several other adults went to Pudgy’s pub, where he was seen drinking beer, according to prosecutors. Although his drinking age is 21, Rittenhouse could drink alcohol legally in Wisconsin because he was with his mother.
Prosecutors in Kenosha, Wisconsin, are trying to amend Kyle Rittenhouse’s bail agreement after they said the 18-year-old put up white light signals while posing for photos, drank several beers and was “serenaded out loud” with the official song from the Proud Boys Bar in Wisconsin.
The bail agreement did not restrict Rittenhouse’s entry into a bar, alcohol consumption or interaction with known members of white supremacist groups.
In a motion previously filed by prosecutors, it was said that five men in the tavern serenaded Rittenhouse with the song “Proud of Your Boy,” which has become the anthem of the Proud Boys, a white supremacist group whose members the U.S. Capitol on January 6 has been identified as involved in the attack.
“The defendant’s continued association with members of a group that boasts of violence and the use of its symbols raises the significant possibility of future harm. In addition, this association can serve to intimidate potential witnesses,” the motion said. .

- Rittenhouse may not own or consume alcoholic beverages.
- Rittenhouse must not have any knowledge of contact with any person or group known to “harm, threaten, harass or threaten others based on their race, beliefs on the subject of religion, color, national origin or gender “.
- Rittenhouse cannot have firearms.
Rittenhouse will have to return to court on March 10 for his final pre-trial appearance.
Mark Richards, the 18-year-old’s lawyer, said Rittenhouse was acting in self-defense when he killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz with an assault-style rifle. Rittenhouse told police he was monitoring a private business during the protest that night.
The widespread unrest in Kenosha came after Officer Rusten Sheskey shot Blake on August 23 while responding to a domestic disturbance. Hundreds were arrested and several businesses were destroyed. On Jan. 5, a Wisconsin prosecutor refused to file charges against Sheskey, concluding that he could not deny the officer’s self-defense claim.
