Brazil: filtered recording on the covid that rejects Bolsonaro – Latin America – International

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro complained on Monday to a senator with whom he had a telephone conversation about a research related to the covid-19 pandemic which the legislator recorded and disseminated on their social media.

The author of the recording and who released the audio was of Senator Jorge Kajuru, From the pro-government base and who in this conversation tried to justify their support for the opening of a parliamentary investigation into the government’s management of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the audio is heard a Bolsonaro protesting that this investigation is limited to federal government action and does not include governors and mayors, whom he accuses of diverting resources received from the Executive to combat the pandemic, which has already killed more than 353,000 people in the country.
