The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 According to reports, it will be released sooner than we thought, or at least that is what a new release date leak indicates. Since Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite game at E3 2019, we haven’t seen or heard anything new Zelda game and sequel to the 2017 best-seller, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And with rumors that Nintendo is keeping the game for the release of the Nintendo Super Switch, many Nintendo fans have been slowly but surely preparing for another year of silence. Still, it looks like Nintendo fans may have given up hope too soon.
According to Austrian retailer Gameware, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 it is published sometime during the second quarter of 2021, that is, sometime between April 1st and June 1st. Unfortunately, the retailer does not disclose anything more specific, and of course this may be nothing more than a placeholder / assumption or the retailer simply looking for additional traffic to the site.
Interestingly, the retailer also lists a launch window for Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturn Remaster, stating that the game will be released sometime this May.

Because we haven’t heard anything stand out The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 in almost two years it makes the launch of Q2 unlikely, but there are many rumors about the launch of the game this year. That said, if it will be published in Q2, it will have to be announced very soon. It will be one of the greatest Nintendo games of the generation and you will surely want to do some proper marketing before it falls apart.
For now, grab it all with a grain of salt. If it was an Amazon or Best Buy listing, there would be little room for doubt, but it has been known that smaller, region-specific retailers manage reserved spaces and look for traffic with inaccurate dates and windows.
At the time of publication, no party involved (Nintendo or Gameware) has commented on the possible leak. If that changes, we’ll be sure to update the story. In the meantime, for more coverage on all things Nintendo and Nintendo Switch, click here or continue with the links below:
