Britney Spears deletes the Instagram account

Britney Spears deleted her Instagram on Tuesday, September 14, after sharing a post thanking her followers of the #FreeBritney movement.

On Twitter, Spears explained, “Don’t worry, folks … just take a little break on social media to celebrate my engagement !!!! I’ll be back soon.”

Crowd Surf, the company that has long helped manage Spears’ social media accounts, did not immediately return any feedback requests. Meanwhile, Instagram confirmed it Insider that Spears account was deactivated and that Instagram did not delete it.

For screenshots, Spears ’latest post contained photographs of an article titled“ Infusing Education with the Heart ”. In the headline, Spears wrote: “I had to republish it so you can see the whole article. Growing up in a world where pretty much everything I did was controlled by someone else … I hope this message reaches people who have been confused or manipulated by a system. No … you’re not alone and no … you’re not crazy! People need to hear this before it’s too late. I have waited 13 years and count on my freedom. Once again … #FreeBritney team, guys fucking ass! I love you so much and God bless! “

Spears’ Instagram has played a major role in his battle for conservatism and the evolution of the #FreeBritney movement. To many fans, Spears ’posts seemed like a rare and honest window into his inner world when much of his life was under the thumb of Conservative and his father, Jamie Spears. The #FreeBritney movement actually began when two fans, Tess Barker and Barbara Gray, launched the Britney’s Gram podcast in November 2017 to analyze the singer’s social media posts.

Spears ’decision to remove her Instagram comes two days after she announced her engagement to her boyfriend Sam Asghari (the news, of course, was announced on Instagram). It also comes after Jamie Spears filed a petition last week to end up being the singer’s curator. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for September 29.
