Broken Doll would end season of the Charlotte Hornets eavesdropper, Lamelo Ball

Charlotte Hornets winger Lamelo Ball could miss the rest of the season with a fractured right wrist, a source told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Hornets announced Sunday night that Ball underwent an MRI and an initial diagnosis revealed a bone fracture in his wrist. The team said Ball would be “listed inactive indefinitely” and that additional updates would be provided when available.

Ball, considered one of the favorites for the NBA rookie of the year, is seeking a second opinion to confirm the diagnosis, a source told Wojnarowski.

Ball, 19, appeared to suffer the injury in a fall early in the game during Saturday night’s 125-98 defeat to the Clippers. He played extensively in the second half despite clearly struggling with wrist discomfort, finishing with 13 points.

Ball, the younger brother of the New Orleans Pelicans escort, Lonzo Ball, is averaging 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists per season.
