Broward County COVID-19 Vaccination Portal Resumes Dating Schedule – NBC 6 South Florida

The Broward County portal for scheduling Covid vaccines is back online after the site experienced cuts last week following high demand for appointments.

The portal allows residents aged 65 and over to make an appointment to receive the vaccine at no cost.

When the website was released last week, all time slots were quickly booked through February and the portal began to have intermittent interruptions.

“We appreciate your patience during this time,” said a Florida Department of Health press release.

The department also urged eligible seniors to review the website frequently, as they increase the number of vaccination sites for seniors in the coming weeks.

There are also driven vaccination sites. Appointments cannot be made by phone.

“We regret that the registration system did not work as we wanted. We recognize that our senior community is eager to receive the vaccine, “said Dr. Paula Thaqi, director of the Florida Department of Health in Broward, last week.

“Keep in mind that this is just the beginning of vaccination opportunities against COVID-19. As the local supply of vaccines increases, DOH-Broward, along with our partners, are ready to vaccinate people aged 65 and over, as well as additional priority groups as they identify. ”
