Shortly after Florida Department of Health officials relaunched Broward County’s COVID-19 vaccination portal, the website appeared to be offline again after experiencing outages earlier in the week.
The portal is intended to allow residents age 65 and older to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine at no cost. Before going offline on Sunday, he had offered both regular and regular vaccination appointments.
The website had first been posted on Wednesday and all available slots were quickly booked until February before the portal started having intermittent interruptions.

Several residents report that the Broward County Vaccination Portal, https://browardcovidvaccine.com/, has displayed this error message.
“We regret that the registration system did not work as we wanted,” said Dr. Paula Thaqi, director of the Florida Department of Health in Broward, after Wednesday’s initial outage. “We recognize that our community of seniors is eager to receive the vaccine.”
Officials announced that the portal was reopening on Sunday, thanking residents for their patients in a press release, but moments later NBC 6 received several reports from residents who were unable to access the site.
Phone appointments are currently not available. The department had urged eligible senior citizens to consult the portal frequently, as they said they would increase the number of vaccination sites for the elderly in the coming weeks.
“Keep in mind that this is just the beginning of vaccination opportunities against COVID-19,” Thaqi noted on Wednesday. “As the local supply of vaccines increases, DOH-Broward, along with our partners, are ready to vaccinate people 65 and older as well as additional priority groups as they identify.”
