The Cleveland Browns have added another veteran defender to the defense. Former Indianapolis Colts starter Anthony Walker has signed with the Browns.
Walker visited with the Browns Thursday morning and the team never let him consider another team. It’s a one-year, $ 3.5 million deal for 25-year-old Walker, per year Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The Browns add a tester here. Walker started 46 of 48 games in the last three seasons on the Colts ’inside support. He averaged more than 100 attacks per season for a defense designed to make the LBs play.
Despite the high board production, Walker has not qualified well with Pro Football Focus in defense or coverage. His overall score of 45.5 on defense in 2020 is just above what Andrew Sendejo won in Cleveland last season.
