The “We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert” will take place on the Great Lawn from 5pm to 10pm
Mayor Bill de Blasio preaches an attitude “the program must continue” despite concerns about the spread of the delta variant.
On Saturday afternoon on Twitter, the mayor reaffirmed that the concert was underway, despite possible inclement weather from Hurricane Henri.
As of now we don’t expect the weather to have a major impact on tonight’s concert in Central Park and the show will continue.
If there is any change in the forecast, we will update the New Yorkers immediately.

The delta variant is believed to be responsible for 94 percent of new covide cases in the state. These numbers have caused a sense of uncertainty among New Yorkers.
You need to attend a vaccination test. Concert performers need at least one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, such as Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson or AstraZeneca / Oxford.
Attendees can submit vaccination tests showing:
CDC COVID-19 vaccination card;
A photo (digital or printed) of your CDC COVID-19 vaccination registration card;
New York City COVID SAFE app; or
New York State Excelsior Pass. (Note: You do not need to be a resident of New York State to obtain an Excelsior pass, however, you must be fully vaccinated to use the pass. Examples: second dose of Pfizer vaccine or Modern COVID-19, the only dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.)
