Bruce Springsteen could have been born to run after all. The legendary singer was fired on Wednesday by a judge on his charges of DWI and reckless driving after pleading guilty to the lowest charge of alcohol consumption in a public park. He was fined $ 540. “I think I can pay for this right away,” Springsteen told Federal Judge Anthony Mautone when asked if he had a schedule to pay the fine, according to the New York Daily News. “I’m sure you can,” Mautone replied.
Springsteen was arrested in November after an officer saw him taking a shot of tequila at the Gateway National Recreation Area in New Jersey before boarding his motorcycle. Later, the Asbury Park-Press reported that Springsteen only exploited a BAC of 0.02, only a quarter of the state’s legal limit. He admitted to shooting two shots with a group of fans.
