This morning, TMZ reported that in November, Bruce Springsteen was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, recklessly driving and consuming alcohol in an enclosed area. The incident occurred at the Gateway National Recreation Area in New Jersey. A spokeswoman for the National Parks Service confirmed the November 14 arrest The New York Times, adding, “Springsteen was cooperative throughout the process.”
Following the TMZ report, the Springsteen Super Bowl ad for Jeep was removed from YouTube, as InsideHook points out. The ad, titled “The Middle,” marked Springsteen’s first commercial appearance. In addition, he and Ron Aniello wrote and produced the commercial’s music, according to a press release from Jeep’s parent company, Stellantis. “The Middle” is still available on Springsteen’s Instagram.
