The Buffalo Bills may have a third team to worry about in terms of the loss of offensive coordinator Brian Daboll: The Houston Texans.
Daboll, who had interviews with Jets and Chargers on Sunday, was recently connected to the Texans via ESPN.
Last week, the Texans signed former New England Patriots board member Nick Caserio as their next general manager. Because of Daboll and Caserio’s ties to the Patriots, ESPN believes there is interest in:
Daboll is believed to be a candidate with jeans, airplanes and chargers, and is scheduled to interview the last two teams on Sunday, following his team’s game with the Colts, according to a source. He has connections to New England (he was in the coaching staff there from 2000 to 2006 and again from 2013 to 2016) that could help him with the confidence of the brain of Jack Easterby / Nick Caserio in Houston. And he went to the same institute as GM Chargers, Tom Telesco.
While the Texans may be interested in Daboll, there has yet to be a specific report that Daboll will interview for the job.
Jeans are also going through a bit of turbulence right now. The future of Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson with the organization has recently been questioned because, according to Texans Wire, the QB wasn’t too happy with Caserio’s hiring.
With all that, it remains to be seen if anyone like Daboll would be interested in this job.
