By a landslide, Gonzalo Pineda signs his first victory as DT of MLS

George Campbell and Ezequiel Vaixell scored two goals for Atlanta United to beat Orlando City 3-0 on Friday. Thus, the Mexican Gonzalo Pineda led his second game in Major League Soccer and signed, by a landslide, his first victory as the team’s technical director.

In his debut as a circuit strategist, Pineda suffered a 2-0 setback against Nashville.

Atlanta has won five of its last six games, a streak that began with four wins in a row. It accumulates 30 points, with which it occupies the eighth place of the Eastern Conference.

Orlando saw a seven-confrontation streak cut short without defeat, the second longest in club history. He was down 38 points, second in the conference, just behind the Revolution.

Campbell opened the scoring in the 25th minute, with a header, after a bombed pass from the Argentine Marcel·lí Moreno. He scored his first goal in MLS.

The 2-0 came in the 38th minute with an own goal by Daryl Dike, who deflected a free kick from the Argentine Boat into the net.

Boat won the race for the defenders to get a long pass from Lennon in the 72nd minute. He dribbled three opponents into the small area and found a hole to set to second stick.
