Cal-Maine Foods: Cal-Maine Foods reported a surprise profit for its second fiscal quarter, causing shares to rise more than 2% after trading. The company earned earnings per share of 25 cents in revenue of $ 347.3 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet predicted a loss of eight cents in revenue share of $ 333.5 million. Sales of the company’s dozens of eggs grew 4.6% year-on-year.

Myriad Genetics: Biotech company shares rose nearly 2% in news Myriad will explore “strategic alternatives” for its autoimmune business. The company is also restructuring its international operations.

Smart Global Holdings: Smart Global recorded first-quarter fiscal earnings per share that were better than expected, which increased the shares of the computer memory maker by 2.4%. Smart Global reported an adjusted earnings per share of 78 cents, surpassing a FactSet estimate of 70 cents per share. The company also issued better-than-expected revenue guidelines for the current quarter.
