Geovany Flors, candidate for mayor of Canvi Democràtic (CD) for Sant Miquel, this Sunday expressed his support for Miguel Pereira, candidate for the FMLN.
The decision was announced this morning during a press conference held at the headquarters of the CD in the city of San Miguel, which was attended by Pereira.

This fact comes after, on Saturday, a group of people who identified themselves as the bases of the New Ideas (NI) party showed their support for the re-election of Mayor Pereira.
As of today, Geovany Flores is asking his supporters to support Miguel Pereira, “for being the proposal that suits Sant Miquel”.
Flors said this is a decision in conjunction with the municipal board to support Pereira’s candidacy. “It is to ensure the development that our mayor Miguel Pereira is doing for this city,” he added.
For his part, Mayor Pereira detailed that this is a “wise decision” on the part of the CD candidate, because they have many points in common, such as the accountability of the municipality.
Pereira added that in the same way he received yesterday the support of the militancy of New Ideas in the municipality of Sant Miquel he’s getting it today with the people on the new CD.
Pereira said he has information that they want to boycott his candidacy
During the press conference at the headquarters of the CD, Miguel Pereira said that the only way Will Salgado can return to the mayoralty is in two ways.
One is that they take him off the stage anyway, “eye because I have information about this, and secondly that they steal my choice, and I know of some things they are doing, I am requesting meetings with international organizations to make them known in due course, ”the mayor added.
