The mishap occurred at about 12:30 this Tuesday on the Boulevard Monsignor Romero. The CAM agent was conducting an inspection when he was attacked by Karina Jasmín Flowers, the PNC said.
Karina Jasmín Flors, candidate for deputy of the Christian Democratic Party (PDC) was arrested on Tuesday after causing a traffic accident in an apparent state of intoxication, the National Civil Police reported.
Flores is charged with dangerous driving offenses and culpable homicide after the death of Saul Ramos Vásquez, 45, an agent of the Metropolitan Corps of Agents (CAM).
The mishap occurred at about 12:30 on Tuesday on the Boulevard Monsignor Romero, to join the circle known as the Little Prince.

Ramos Vásquez was carrying out an inspection of a vehicle on kilometer 8 1/2 of Monsignor Romero Boulevard when the detainee hit the CAM patrol in the back, seriously injuring the victim who was taken to the hospital where he died.
Authorities note that the 44-year-old candidate, who also works as a singer and announcer, was driving in an apparent state of intoxication.

“The detainee refused to be subjected to the alcohol test,” the police source said via Twitter and added that she will be captured at the disposal of the relevant authorities so that the corresponding investigations can begin.
