Dr. Joan Bustillo was receiving medical treatment in San Salvador.
This Friday morning Dr. Juan Bustillo Mendoza, general surgeon and member of the municipal council of Sant Miquel and candidate for deputy by the FMLN for this department.
He died in the city of San Salvador and will be buried in Memorial Chapels, his burial will take place on Saturday afternoon confirmed Margarita Rodríguez, Departmental Secretary of the FMLN in Sant Miquel.
“As a party we feel dismayed and give all our solidarity to the family and mourn the loss and death of a fellow militant of our party,” he said.

As it was known by people close to Dr. Bustillo was suffering from cancer, and a few days ago he underwent surgery, apparently the death of the doctor is related to this disease.
Similarly, the mayor of Sant Miquel, Miguel Pereira, expressed words of support for the family of Dr. Bustillo.
