Carlos Martínez and Junior Lake defined as “a team of great quality that has formed the Eagles Cibaeñas for the Series of the Caribbean that has like headquarters the city of Mazatlan, Mexico, of the 31 of January to the 6 of February.
At noon on Monday, the Eagles Cibaeñas began their training before the event that brings together the champions of Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama and Colombia, with a large group of players.
Reinforcements Robinson Canó, Junior Lake, Jhan Marínez, Michael de la Cruz and Carlos Paulí gathered at noon this Monday at Cibao Stadium. While the integration of the other confirmed reinforcements is expected tomorrow Tuesday, the club has reported.
Prior to the practices the players re-submitted to the PCR tests administered by the Ministry of Public Health, in accordance with the protocols established for the teams going to the regional competition.
Pitcher Carlos-tsunami-Martinez revealed he is ready to pit for the first game against the Puerto Rican Creoles of Caguas.
Martinez and Junior Lake participated in a virtual interview with the press to offer their views on the team and their goals at the event.
Martinez said that if they stay healthy, the team they bring to Mexico will have to be in the title race, which would be the twenty-second for the country and sixth for the team of the Cibaeñas Eagles.
“We have been training hard this week and we are ready for this first game, where so far I have no limit on tickets or pitching,” Martinez said in a conversation with the press in a video conference.
Martínez reported that so far with the plan agreed with the leader Félix Fermín “it is to launch this single game, but it is possible that if an extra game situation arises it will be available to throw”.
The St. Louis Cardinals’ right in the majors baseball will be participating in a Caribbean Series for the first time, “I’m very happy that I’m going to represent my country with my Eagles team.”
For his part Junior Lake, a gardener belonging to the Stars, who reinforces the Eagles for the second time in the Caribbean Series, plans to quickly take shape within a team full of talent.
“We have a team with talent, experience, people with names and who know how to do the job, this is definitely one of the best teams that have been formed for a Caribbean Series,” Lake said answering one of the questions.
