The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired right-wing All-Star Patrik Laine and Winnipeg Jets center Jack Roslovic in exchange for a center-back Pierre-Luc Dubois and a third-round pick in the 2022 NHL draft, club general manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. A native of Tampere, Finland, Laine has represented her country in numerous international competitions, including the 2016 IIHF Junior World Hockey Championships, where she picked up 7-6-13 in seven outings and led Finland to a gold medal. That same year, he helped his country win the silver medal at the World Championships, earning the honors of best striker and most valuable player after winning 7-5-12 in 10 matches. He also participated in three matches in the 2016 World Hockey Cup tournament.

Roslovic, 23, recorded a 26-41-67 and 18-minute penalty with a score of +6 plus / minus in 180 NHL career games since being selected by the Jets in the first round, 25th in the overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft. After making his NHL debut against the Blue Jackets in his hometown on April 6, 2017, he split the 2017-18 campaign between Winnipeg and Manitoba Moose of the American League of Hockey before graduating to the NHL the following season.
