CDC: Facial masks do not prevent COVID-19, according to study, masks have a negligible impact on the number of coronaviruses

The CDC has admitted that masks did little to prevent the spread of COVID-19 amid rising pressure to lift mask warrants in the United States. of error.

The study found that between March and December 2020, facial mask orders reduced infection rates by 1.5 percent over two-month periods each. Masks were 0.5 percent effective in the first 20 days of mandates and less than 2 percent effective after 100 days.

The CDC added that it still recommends wearing face masks, although it admitted that these mandates make no statistical difference. Meanwhile, some states in the nation have slowly returned to normal by ending mask mandates.
