The agency, which updates its travel warnings on a weekly basis, warned Americans not to travel to these destinations due to “very high” levels of COVID-19. The State Department, which reflects its travel warnings to the CDC, also raised each destination to its highest alert level and told Americans not to “travel” there.
U.S. tourists can travel to Belize if they show evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test performed within 96 hours of the trip or test of a rapid negative antigen test performed within 48 hours after the trip, according to the Belize Tourism Council.
Travelers heading to Saint Kitts and Nevis must be fully vaccinated and must also demonstrate that a negative COVID-19 PCR test has been performed within 72 hours of arrival. Travelers must quarantine or “vacation on site” at an authorized hotel for four days before re-testing. Children under the age of 18 traveling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians will be subject to the same rules.

In addition to Belize and Saint Kitts and Nevis, the CDC elevated Afghanistan, Albania, Grenada, Israel, Lithuania, Mauritius, Serbia, and Slovenia to its “level 4” warning.
CDC has added several popular Caribbean islands to its advice in recent weeks, including Jamaica, the Bahamas and Aruba.
By contrast, CDC also lowered its warning for the Dominican Republic to “Level 2.” It was previously classified as “Level 3.” According to the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism, the island, which is becoming a popular vacation destination, does not require U.S. travelers to submit evidence of a negative COVID-19 test to enter.
All travelers returning to the United States from an international destination must test within three days of boarding a flight, regardless of their vaccination status.
