CDPHE cannot verify COVID-19 vaccines given at a Colorado Springs clinic, Dr. Moma Health and Wellness

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KKTV) – Anyone who received a COVID-19 vaccine at a Colorado Springs clinic is being alerted to new directions while the investigation continues.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment (CDPHE) announced Friday that the health and wellness clinic of Dr. Moma in El Paso County is currently suspended from the COVID vaccination program. On Tuesday, CDPHE reports that they cannot verify whether the vaccines previously administered at the site were viable because the supplier did not provide the proper documentation on temperature storage.

The suspension affected some 7,000 scheduled appointments. It is unclear how many people recently received a vaccine at the clinic.

CDPHE consulted the Centers for Disease Control and recommends the following:

For people who received a dose at the Dr.Moma health and wellness clinic:

If you have received a dose of Pfizer vaccine at a Dr. Vaccination Clinic. However, this dose will be considered invalid and you should receive two additional doses of Pfizer vaccine according to the following terms:

-Additional dose of Pfizer 21 days after receiving the initial dose of Pfizer invalid to Dr. Moma,

-and the final dose of Pfizer 21 days later (for example, 21 days after the repeated valid dose)

If you have received a dose of Modern vaccine at a vaccination clinic of Dr. Moma, this dose will be considered invalid and you should receive two additional doses of Modern vaccine according to the following terms:

-Additional dose of Moderna 28 days after receiving the initial dose of Moderna invalid to Dr. Moma i

-Final dose of Modern 28 days later (for example, 28 days after repeated valid dose)

** If you do not know what vaccine you received at a vaccination clinic of Dr. Moma, you should receive two additional doses of Modern or Pfizer vaccine according to the following terms:

-Additional dose of Moderna or Pfizer 28 days after receiving the initial dose of invalid mRNA to Dr. Moma i

-Final dose of Moderna or Pfizer 28 days later (for example, 28 days after repeated valid dose)

Records show that most patients only received one dose at the site, but for people who received two doses at the Dr. Health and Wellness Clinic. Moma, the CDC and CDPHE recommend:

-If you have received two doses of Pfizer vaccine at a vaccination clinic of Dr. However, these doses will be considered invalid and you should receive an additional dose of Pfizer vaccine at least 21 days after your last dose of COVID-19.

-If you have received two doses of Modern vaccine at a vaccination clinic of Dr. Moma, these doses will be considered invalid and you should receive an additional dose of Modern vaccine at least 28 days after your last dose of COVID-19.

-If you do not know what vaccine you received at a vaccination clinic of Dr. Moma, you should receive an additional dose of Moderna or Pfizer vaccine at least 28 days after your last dose of COVID-19.

Due to the lack of clinical data, the CDC does not recommend that people receive more than three doses of any COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of its validity, ”says part of the State Joint Information Center statement.
