He Ciberpunk 2077 the return situation only gets weirder. Developer CD Projekt Red is telling gamers who have requested a refund for the PlayStation 4 version of the game to stop.
After a weekend of anger Ciberpunk 2077lower performance than Xbox One and PlayStation 4, CD Projekt Red he publicly apologized and directed dissatisfied gamers to request refunds through the official channels of Microsoft and Sony. They did. Xbox One users mixed results were obtained. Overall, PlayStation gamers were less fortunate, and many encountered Sony’s stricter return policy. (If you have downloaded a game to the console, you will not be able to get a refund. There is a declared exception for “content” that is “defective”, but Ciberpunk 2077, despite its pool of technical issues, does not appear to fit the bill. Sony has repeatedly ignored requests for clarification from Kotaku.)
CD Projekt Red’s apologies also included an email address: helpmerefund [at] cdprojektred [dot] com, where those who have not been able to obtain a successful refund can contact the publisher directly for assistance. Yesterday, CDPR executives said that there was no special return policy Ciberpunk 2077 on Microsoft or Sony platforms. This morning, people who wrote to the hotline received this message in return:
It doesn’t offer much guidance. Xbox gamers are aiming for Microsoft Refund Request Page. (As mentioned, players see mixed results.) It doesn’t direct people to contact Sony. Instead, it says, “If you have a digital copy on PlayStation, wait for us to contact you again.”
CD Projekt Red said on Monday that the helpline email address to apply for a refund will only remain open until Monday, December 21st.
