Brazilian motorcyclist André Verissimo went viral after celebrating his early victory during a race at the Ayrton Senna International Autodrome in Goiânia, Brazil. The gesture was expensive for him, as he was finally relegated to third place on the podium.
A video of the scene shows the pilot entering the last straight and turning around to make sure he had no rivals following him closely. After that, he stood up on his motorcycle and released the accelerator to raise his hands to the sky in a gesture of triumph. The moment of relaxation was taken advantage of by two of his pursuers, who accelerated and overtook him without the Brazilian being able to do anything to stop it.
Although many netizens scoffed at the pilot for what has happened, Verissimo took the mistake as an opportunity to laugh at himself, RT reports.
