Celebrities who supported Gavin Newsom in the midst of the recent election in California withdrew Twitter to its big victory Tuesday.
A majority of Californians have voted no (i.e., against removing Newsom from office) in the first-term Democratic gubernatorial election. Put an end to the conservative hopes of talk show radio Larry Elder by overcoming his seat.
Newsom, who was overwhelmingly elected governor in 2018 in the heavily blue state, was facing a withdrawal push sparked last year mainly by accusations that he mismanaged his state’s response to the coronavirus, the worst pandemic that attacked the world in a century.
He was heavily favored by Hollywood celebrities in the election retreat, many of whom entered social media as election results were pouring in.

“It was heard: the vote was so uneven, it’s basically an abuse of the elderly.” wrote “Star Trek” star George Takei, mocking Elder.
“Oh, and now can we leave that notion of ‘memory’ in bed forever?” added Elijah Wood.

“I love what I’ve been hearing so far. If things continue like this, great victory for Newsom. And a big kick to Trumpism.” wrote Rob Reiner.
“Dear Newsom: That doesn’t mean we like it, it means we like our kids,” wrote a Devon Sawa still dissatisfied.
“CONGRATULATIONS. GAVIN NEWSOM and your big win! You crushed it. Another big loss for Trump and the Republicans. The American people don’t want these hateful idiots to take over anything. Gavin: Keep moving California Your state is the progressive leader ” wrote filmmaker Michael Moore.

Meanwhile, Questlove commented on the immense tax expense that the election withdrawal cost.
