Following the creation of a trust to administer the Punta Catalina Thermoelectric Power Station (CTPC), President Luis Abinader appointed the officials who will be in charge of this task.
Celso José Marranzini Pérez was appointed Chairman of the Trust Technical Committee; José Luís Actis as the vice president; Noel Báez Parets, Secretary of the Committee.
Also George Angel Reinoso Núñez and John A. D’Armes were designated like members.
These designations were made through decree 539-21.
According to Decree 538-2, the constitution of a public trust, of administration, investment, operation and source of payment is established, called Punta Catalina Central Thermoelectric Public Trust (CTPC Trust).
The provision of the Executive Branch seeks to “create an independent management structure for transparent and efficient administration, with the aim of ensuring the proper operation of the Punta Catalina thermoelectric power plant.”
