Cervesera gives away bottles to goalkeepers to whom Messi scored

Each of the goalkeepers who received a goal from Messi will receive a bottle of beer after the record that broke the Argentine

American beer Budweiser threw 644 custom bottles after Lionel Messi broke Pelé’s record with more goals for a single club. The popular drink sent a bottle to each of the 160 goalkeepers to whom the Argentine scored since his debut in 2004.

Through a video on his official platforms, Budweiser boasted personalized bottles with the number he touched on each goalkeeper.

“644 goals, 644 custom beers, 160 goalkeepers. Leo Messi meets on the field, we delivered off the court. A personalized bottle for each goalkeeper.”

Faced with this situation, Gianluigi Buffon responded from his Twitter account with a lot of humor and grace, after being considered lucky to face the Argentine on the field.

‘Gigi’ wore with beers 514 and 515, as he received a double from Messi in a Champions League match last September 12, 2017, when the legendary goalkeeper took care of the Juventus goal.

“Thank you for the beers. I’ll take it as a compliment. We’ve had great battles over the years. Congratulations on breaking the 644 record, Messi. It’s really an amazing success. Hi,” Buffon wrote from his account.

This Tuesday, Lionel Messi beat Pelé as the player with the most goals for a single club after scoring one of three goals against Valladolid in the 14th match of Laliga for the Catalans.
