Champion Luis Nery will no longer be on Eddy Reynoso’s team

The Tijuanense held only one fight with Reynoso in the corner and did not specify about his future coach

The undefeated World Boxing Council super-rooster champion, Luis ‘Pantera’ Nery from Tijuana, will no longer have the well-known coach Eddy Reynoso on his side, as revealed to ESPN KNOCKOUT on Monday.

Nery, who has a 31-0 record with 24 fights, hold only a fight with Reynoso in the corner, Which beat Mexican Aaron Albereda last September to win the vacant 122-pound (55.3 kg) championship on a large Premier Boxing Champions billboard.

He had changed coach Luis in 2019, when he joined the work team of award-winning Freddie Roach; however, he could not even make a fight with him, because the one they had scheduled for November of this year did not happen, as Emanuel Rodríguez refused to fight because he did not score the weight.

There were already many rumors about whether Eddy Reynoso was going to continue training Luis Nery. The responsibilities of the best coach in the world with Canelo Alvarez, Oscar Valdez, Ryan Garcia, Andy Ruiz and Frank Sanchez are not few and will be full of challenges for this 2021.

Reynoso will have a busy month of February. This February 20 will try to conquer the Superpluma scepter of the World Boxing Council with Oscar Valdez facing monarch Miguel Berchelt. One week later, on February 27, its top star, Canelo, returns to Avni Yildirim.

Reynoso will also have in the ring as promoter Julio César ‘Rey’ Martínez, World Boxing Council Fly Champion, this February 27 against McWilliams Arroyo, while on March 13, others of his fighters, Hiroto Kyoguchi , will exhibit the mini-fly scepter of the World Boxing Association in front of Axel Aragón, both in American territory.
